Sailing the Heineken regatta

The St.Maarten Heineken Regatta is Caribbean’s largest regatta attracting top sailors from 37 countries for 4 days of professionally-run racing in perfect Caribbean conditions. Over the years thousands of sailors have graced the shores of this ideal location, don’t be left out. The Prestige is on his way to West Palm Beach, but before she will go there we will stop in Saint-Martin and prepare her for some action and spectacle. The event will take place on 3 – 6 march, but we will start some days early for some training and fun. Then we will race on the specific racing days.

And with Heineken as title sponsor, the racing days blend seamlessly into four nights of exceptional parties. This event is your bucket list must-do! Come and enjoy life in the Caribbean, come for some Serious Fun.

6 Days of sailing including training with the crew. 
Minimum level of experience: Beginner (You know at least how to handle a winch)

Day 1 | 1 mrt
Welcome on board. The Prestige will be in St Maarten (pick-up location to be determined). Crew t-shirt is included. Grocery shopping for the first two days. Start training to get to know the crew and the boat.

Day 2 | 2 mrt
Sailing with the crew.

Day 3, 4, 5 |3 mrt – 6 mrt
Start Heineken regatta

We will sail the regatta on the Prestige. We have 6 spots available. Including the skipper we are with 7 people. There are three sleeping quarters and one bed in the main cabin. Al three quarters have a two-person birth.

What’s not included
Costs for arrival and departure, transfers as well as all payments on land are not included in the price and have to be paid by your self. Food and drinks we buy on board. Typical board cash is about 100 to 150 EUR per week.

Our process is as follows: Register interest in the event by adding the event to the chart and pay the deposit amount if that is provided. After the confirmation of the event, we sort out the payment of the balance.

Sailing the BVI regatta

Event date: 28/03/ – 03/04/2022

The location is supurb. Perfect blue water in the British Virgen Islands. ‘What’s not to Love about the BVI Spring Regatta’ remains the theme for the 49th edition of the regatta and those words couldn’t be more fitting.  The event will include more classes and opportunities for sailors from across the Caribbean and the globe to come to the British Virgin Islands and experience fantastic racing, with warm tropical winds and water.

The race week will include the two-day Sailing Festival followed by the 49th BVI Spring Regatta which kicks off the three-day weekend with the second Annual Mount Gay Race Day on Friday April 2.  The regatta will include racing over multiple courses, with expanded classes and competition with some of the fastest, top competitors from the Caribbean and around the world.

Day 2 |  29 mrt
Training and relaxing. Captains dinner with the crew.

Day 3, | race day 1
Wednesday March 30th is a race to neighboring Scrub Island for their Invitational Race– a short morning race and then an afternoon BBQ with games and relaxation.  It is a chance to discover the British Virgin Islands. 

Day 4 | race day 2
Thursday March 31st a lay day.  A chance to explore the islands, work on the boat practice or just relax on the beach. Registration starts at noon on with live music and Welcome Party to kick off the 49th BVI Spring Regatta in style.

Day 5, 6, 7
Friday April 1- Sunday April 3 is three days of top racing round rocks, islands with 18 classes, there’s a boat and a course for everyone.  Friday April 1st is Mount Gay Race Day.
